 FAQs

  • No. All of our homes are built with volunteers just like you. We provide guidance to people of all skill levels and experiences.

  • You are welcome to bring your own tools, but you do not need to. We will provide everything needed for the day.

  • You may want to consider bringing your own water bottle, gloves, hat, and sunscreen. Racine Habitat will supply plenty of water, snacks, nail aprons, and safety glasses.

  • To ensure site safety and opportunity for everyone to participate, we limit the volunteers on-site to ten at a time.

  • You may be decking the floor, framing/insulating the exterior walls, and assembling ruff trusses. Most of the work will be hammering nails. If you are comfortable, you may also help cut boards and use other power tools.
